The Foundation Gift was established by the foundation deed on 24th June 2004 and was entered into the Foundation Register in the Ministry of the Interior. Its founder is Trnava self-governing region, which sees the foundation as an effective implement for the development of civil society and assisting people in hard life situations. The Foundation Gift with its activities expresses solidarity with those who ask for support and whenever possible with regard to the rules, priorities and opportunities of the foundation.
The foundation’s mission is financial support for charitable activities, to provide treatment and care of disabled, elderly, sick, helpless people, people in need and other socially disadvantaged groups of population. Finally, it is versatile and focused support for young endowed people or artistic, sporting and other talents. The support recipients are both organizations and individuals. The Foundation Gift has been providing financial funds represented by the sponsor donations from other organizations and from individuals. These funds have been used for support of the oung athletes, students and disabled artists painting with their mouth and feet. On the occasion of „Students’ day“ the foundation has promoted high school students by awarding with the regional scholarships as the grants are considered as an investment in young people. We have encouraged the young talented violinist by the reimbursement part of the costs for his boarding school in Vienna. We are proud of the achievements that we have accomplished thanks to our financial support. The foundation has also been aimed at support of non-profit organizations engaged in charitable activities by providing of in-kind donations, it has supported the activity of Integrative facility, it has covered the treatment costs in specialized rehabilitation centres for disabled children and has bought an electric massage table with accessories for physiotherapy for Special primary school pupils. In parallel with Regional balls arranged by Trnava self-governing region there is also a public collection of the Foundation Gift. The proceeds from this collection have been dedicated to the Faculty Hospital in Trnava and used for example for purchase of surgical instruments intended for the pelvic floor operations.
The Foundation Gift strives to be sensitive to the needs of different groups and individuals in our society. Life itself brings different problems and challenges. The foundation reflects them and contributes to their solution. Our sensitivity to the problems and forthrightness of the support bring unique solutions. The foundation representatives try to provide support wherever people are interested in problems solving.
